• Work under the direction of the Design Engineer and Project BIM Manager.
• Organize and perform quality control for all (BIM and CAD) data delivered by their teams.
• Own and manage the models.
• Ensure compliance with the BIM Execution Plan.
• Report BIM-related problems to the Project BIM Manager.
• Perform model quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) checks bi-weekly.
• Conduct QA/QC checks, including informal intra-disciplinary clash checks.
• Coordinate model interfaces and exchange with other Stakeholders.
• Maintain model status, revisioning, and versioning in the Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Ensure that BIM Models comply with the requirements in the Model Element Table.
• For Revit files, maintain and verify Work sets integrity, perform weekly audits, and conduct periodic consistency checks.
• For families, create, name, maintain, update, and align them with the protocols and procedures outlined in the BIM Execution Plan.
• Update families to include the required information and coding.
• BIM Coordination between all Services as per the project specification.
• Follow BIM content standards and development procedures.
• Developing some discipline-specific BIM modelling content for a project.
• The BIM Coordinator is responsible for leading the process of coordination between all BIM Team Members.
• Manage design coordination sessions.
• Carry out Virtual Design Reviews, i.e. federate models for coordination.
• Carry out clash detection and reporting.
• Maintain model security.
• Undertake compliance checks for alignment with modelling standards.
