Job Summary:

The CAD Operator will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. The CAD Operator will work closely with the BIM Manager to ensure that all drawings meet project specifications and deadlines. The CAD Operator should have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of engineering principles and drafting techniques.

Duties & Responsibilities/Deliverables:

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure that drawings meet project specifications and requirements. Ensure that all drawings comply with company and industry standards and regulations. Maintain accurate records of all drawings and related project documentation. Participate in project meetings to provide updates and recommendations on drafting and design-related issues. Review and analyze plans, schematics, sketches, and other project documentation to create accurate and detailed drawings. Stay up-to-date with the latest CAD software and industry trends and technologies. Use CAD software to create technical drawings and plans for construction projects.   Additional Note:   The client reserves the right to interview the proposed candidate as part of the recruitment process. 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or Diploma, architecture, or a related field. 5 years of experience in CAD drafting and design.

Skills & Person Specification:

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and detailed drawings. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations. Proficient in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with other professionals. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Strong understanding of engineering principles and drafting techniques.
